Our Client is currently looking for a Customer Service Assistant to deliver excellent customer service and sales support in a leading student accommodation provider based in London, near Tower Hill
Key details:
- £22,220/ year + 2% annual discretionary bonus
- 28 days holiday (bank holidays are standard working days)
- Shift work (early shift starting at 7.30am; late shift finishing at 8.30pm)
- Weekends are standard working days and will be a requirement on a shift basis
- You would have a "home site" but you would be required to cover at other properties to cover sickness/ holiday as required.
- 5 days on, 2 off (not always the same 2 days)
Key Duties:
- Process and respond to sales enquiries in a proactive and timely manner
- Perform viewings for customers in line with the core operating procedures
- Contribute with energy and commitment to achieving sales targets, consistently working to close sales and support the city team in achieving sales goals
- Attend information events and fairs to provide information to potential customers
- Support Managers with property merchandising and marketing collateral within the city i.e. show flats, exterior banners, site hoardings, reception areas etc
- Implement and support the city branded marketing campaigns
- Attend Sales and Rebooker Training and take responsibility for learning about new offers, prices and processes and adhering to them
- Understand the local student accommodation market and regularly research competitors and understand the differences in product, price and service
- Explain financial statements to customers helping them to understand their current balance and any action they need to take
- Hold effective arrears conversations with customers resulting in successful collections of arrears and debt
- Receive and process front office payments and invoices
- Support the Customer Accounts Team in keeping customer financial data accurate and up to date
Essential qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrable skills and experience in business to customer sales
- Excellent Customer service skills and experience in working in a customer service role
- Experience in working for a branded organisation
- Experience of using business operating systems including Microsoft Office
- Demonstrable experience of effective communication both orally and in writing
- Previous administrative experience
- Ability to work shifts that include evenings, weekends and bank holidays
- Live within a reasonable travel distance to properties within the City
- Ability to work in multiple locations in London
