About the Company:

Role Overview:
As a Service Charge Accountant, you will manage the service charge accounts for a portfolio of approximately 20 prestigious sites. The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified or fully qualified accountant with a strong foundation in service charge accounting and a minimum of three years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review annual service charge budgets, manage reconciliations, and support audits.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records for each property within the portfolio.
  • Conduct financial analysis, providing insights and reports to Property Managers and senior management.
  • Collaborate closely with Property Managers to ensure smooth financial operations and clear communication regarding lease terms.
  • Interpret and apply lease agreements accurately to align financial reporting and compliance with lease terms.
  • Use MRI Qube for accounting functions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in service charge accounting, ideally within high-end residential portfolios.
  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting lease agreements.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with Property Managers and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with MRI Qube software preferred, but training for the software is provided.

Additional Information:

  • Primarily office-based for effective collaboration with the Accounts Team and Property Managers, with up to 2 days remote working for the right candidate.
