Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Call Handler to join our dynamic team in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients, handling inbound and outbound calls, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth and efficient communication. This role is crucial in supporting our debt collection operations and maintaining positive relationships with our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Address client inquiries and provide accurate information regarding their accounts.
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our services, policies and procedures.
  • Accurately record and update client information in our database.
  • Assist in the debt recovery process by contacting debtors, negotiating payment arrangements and following up on outstanding payments.
  • Collaborate with the debt recovery team to ensure timely and effective resolution of cases.
  • Provide administrative support as needed, including drafting correspondence and processing payments.
Key Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a call handling or customer service role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and databases.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional and empathetic demeanor with a customer-focused approach.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
