- Description
Our client is looking for an experienced Building Manager with a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role managing a modern mixed use property including private residential, social housing and commercial. The Building In addition to the set working hours, flexibility to work later or start earlier at least once per month in order to manage the night concierge team is required.
Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm (1 hour unpaid lunch break)
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday
Responsibilities include:
- Daily internal and external inspections of the development
- Managing and supervising the onsite staff, training new staff
- Monitoring existing estate service contracts for value and quality
- Dealing with all correspondence from residents & clients appropriately
- Building and maintaining working relationships with the leaseholders, developer and managing agent and attending regular meetings as appropriate
- Monitoring, reviewing and managing charge expenditures and controlling costs
- Ensuring all Health & Safety obligations and Duty of Care are met effectively.
You must have a strong solid proven track record within a similar environment, an understanding of building maintenance and residential property law, knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace and carrying out risk assessments. Good Fire Marshall knowledge is also highly beneficial.
The successful candidate will be IT literate, have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills as well as being truly motivated, tenacious and resourceful. Ideally a role relevant qualification highly desirable (IRPM, IWFM, NVQ).
