Our client is seeking a live-in Porter to join their team based in a high-end residential building in Chelsea SW3.
Hours - Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm & Saturday 8am - 1pm
Salary £22,000 per annum + 1 bed accomodationGeneral duties
- The Porter/Caretaker shall work the hours 8 am - 5pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 8am - 1pm. The porter is expected to be contactable onsite during working hours.
- To maintain and keep in good order the surrounds of the exterior of the building which includes all roadways, pathways, pavements etc. To clear out all access ways of snow as required, and during cold weather to salt and grit the steps, paths and roads in order to provide safe passage for pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
- The Porter/ Caretaker shall arrange for the removal of refuse from the building to the central waste point/refuse collection area for the collection by the Local Authority. The rubbish will be collected between the hours of 9.00am and 11.00am, Monday to Sunday as practical. The Porter/ caretaker will ensure that any clearly marked waste for recycling is stored correctly in the recycling bin. The Porter will ensure that the refuse is collected at the appropriate time by the local authority.
- The Porter shall attend to the lighting of the building and grounds ensuring that all lights are functioning correctly and replace immediately any defective bulbs. The Porter will ensure that all buildings and grounds are lit adequately at all times.
- The Porter shall patrol the common areas each evening to ensure that all doors etc. are secured. Further he shall monitor the CCTV system, and report any defects to the managing agents so that repairs can be arranged
- The Porter shall check the passenger lifts for correct functioning and in the event of a breakdown advise the engineers.
