- Description
Our client is seeking for an experienced Porter to join the luxury residential team based in Kensignton.
This is a live-in opportuntiy so alongside your salary, you will be provided with a spacious 2 bedroom apartment & utilities will be covered.
Salary - £21,000 per annum ( depending on experience )
Hours - 40 hours per week
Week 1 9am - 6pm with a one-hour lunch break
Week 2 8am - 5pm with a one hour lunch break
Week 3 (Porters on duty week) 7am - 7pm with a 4-hour break in the afternoon.Ideally the client would like someone who has a plumbing or handyman experience.
Day to Day duties
- To report directly to the Head Porter.
- Morning patrol of the internal communal areas of the building to inspect cleaning and deal with any other matters requiring attention.
- Daily inspection of the boiler house to ensure all plant equipment is working correctly. Daily inspection of basement, fire escapes and drains to ensure no blockages
- Monthly rotation of pumps for hot water and heating.
- Regulate external thermostat to automatically switch on communal central heating in liaison with the Residents Association.
- A weekly visual inspection of the roof, its covering and drains and external common parts.
- Reporting any matters directly to the Head Porter and Property Manager, in his absence.
- To sweep the courtyard and undertake minor painting touch-up's, clean down paintwork and undertake any task not specified either above or below, but which benefits a "hands on " approach to maintaining the integrity of the building.
- To be on duty one week in three for any "out of hours" incidents that requires attention
- Emptying of bins on all floors.
- To dispose of cardboard boxes daily.
- To remove paladins on collection days.
- Sweeping of leaves and rubbish every day in courtyard and generally keeping the courtyard in good order.
