Description

Our client are looking for a Caretaker to work at a luxury residential block in South East London.

The shift pattern will be Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm and the occassional Saturday.

This is a hands on role where you will be expected to do full the odd maintenance, cleaning or gardening job. Your role would include patrolling the estate, making sure the recycling bins are put out and maintaining the car

The aim of the role is to ensure a high standard of customer service is provided to the residents and all visitors at the building. You will need to have excellent customer service skills.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide a high standard of service to the site and our customers.
  • Carry out day to day maintenance tasks, such as painting & decorating, fixing lightbulbs, hanging doors.
  • Assist with the day to day management of reactive and preventative maintenance
  • Ensure the development and its buildings and common areas are professionally cleaned, well presented and maintained.
  • Daily tasks will include dusting, sweeping, mopping, emptying bins and vacuuming of communal areas.
  • If required, disposal of rubbish in the designated rubbish collection area.
  • Ensure that all health and safety risks are identified and report any accidents, trips, spills, hazards or near misses as per the site procedures, to the development manager or assistant development manager.
  • Front entrances, communal stairways, corridors and passageways kept clean at all times.
  • To carry out deep cleaning as and when requested.
  • Report any maintenance issues that may arise to the development manager
  • Ensure all footpaths and communal areas are kept clean and free of litter
  • Ensure that instructions for the maintenance, cleaning and storage of equipment are consistently followed.
  • Work in accordance with the Company's Health & Safety Procedures

Role Requirements

You will need to be:

  • Customer focused, courteous and polite at all times, including while under pressure
  • With a proven background in maintenance and block management
  • Conscientious and uphold confidentiality at all times
  • Ambitious, dynamic and motivated
  • A strong communicator, both verbally and written, with excellent use of grammar and spelling
  • Strong at time keeping and time management
  • Self-sufficient in terms of dealing with issues and equally adept at raising issues to management as required.
  • Able to work with staff and clients/suppliers at all levels and remain professional at all times
  • Able to create strong working relationships with a wide range of people
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Professional and maintain company etiquette inside and outside working hours

The successful candidate must be able to provide excellent references and be willing to undergo full vetting checks.
