Service Charge Accountant

We are currently looking to hire an experienced Service Charge Accountant for our client located in North London. The chosen candidate will be in charge of overseeing and providing reports on Service Charge Accounts for various properties across London. Additionally, they will be responsible for the continuous monitoring and reconciliation of these accounts.

The Role

As a Service Charge Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and reporting on service charge accounts for our various properties
• Monitoring and reconciling accounts on a regular basis
• Liaising with property managers to ensure accuracy of data and coding
• Preparing and submitting reports to senior management
• Providing financial advice and support to the property management team
• Developing and implementing processes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of service charge accounting
• Preparing packs to send for certification of year end accounts.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this position should have:

• At least three years of experience in service charge accounting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A keen eye for detail and a strong analytical mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• Enjoy working as part of a team within the office.
• A track record of working in a property management and service charge is essential

The Package:

£35,000 - £40,000 pa, with the opportunity for performance-based bonuses. You will also receive ongoing training and development opportunities to support your career growth within the company.
