Maintenance Assistant

Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

Aim of Post

Reporting to the General Manager, the Maintenance Technician will have a practical role to ensure the upkeep of the building is executed to an excellent standard. They will have a wide variety of trade skills - electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, small construction and repair, IT, paint & decorating, and statutory compliance.

You need a great eye for detail, be professional and friendly, and ensure that the development is maintained at all times.

Role Specific Accountabilities

• Conduct general site maintenance inside and out as directed by the Management team.

• Repair, maintain and replace all electrical and plumbing fixtures, fittings, decor and general appliances for residents, ensuring minimum inconvenience.

• Carry out regular inspections of all areas of the development to check that fixtures, fittings, and equipment for use are all in working order.

• Ensures that all defects reported by residents and staff are dealt with promptly and efficiently.

• Deal with and assist contractors and suppliers when these are on site.

Required Experience and Technical Competency

• Fluent in English

• Previous experience in a similar role within hotels or residential developments

• Preferably new build experience within a similar environment

• Qualifications (e.g. City and Guilds) in one or more trades

• Self-directed and able to work under pressure.
