Role: Duty Maintenance Engineer
Location: South West London
Positions Available: 4
Hours: 8am - 8pm
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off
Salary: £28-32k p/a
My client is looking for four duty maintenance engineers to work at a luxury, residential development in South West London, consisting of approximately 1300 flats.
As part of the Maintenance Team you will be responsible for the reactive works and general maintenance tasks of the Facilities Department. You will undertake regular plant and equipment checks, noting any issues, as well as dealing with a wide range of reactive jobs across the estate.
You will be expected to work on your own initiative, dealing with both residents and members of the public.
Main Duties:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks as assigned
- Monitor the BMS and alarms and resolving them where possible
- To keep and update logs of plant operating conditions
- Assist in general maintenance duties as and where directed
- Ensure good workshop practice with regards Health and Safety legislation as well as COSHH
- Deal with out-of-hour emergencies i.e. plumbing, minor electrical and plant room checks
- Carry out checks and record work on mechanical services, boilers and ancillary equipment, reservoirs and storage tanks
- Carrying out maintenance work including finding and rectifying minor faults in order to keep essential services operating efficiently
- Working on domestic water and waste services
- Monitor and adjust plant control systems to ensure efficient operation
Requirements:
- Experience of engineering and maintenance work within hotel or residential is essential
- Experience of building regulation Part P - electrical safety & installation
- Excellent written and verbal English
- Able to undertake tasks with own initiative and be proactive
- Work cleanly and diligently, completing the task at hand
