VERTO HR are looking for an experienced, confident, and well-presented Concierge to work at a residential development based in Sutton.
Monday - Friday, 3pm - 11pm, £21,673 pa
The ideal candidate will have experience in front of house positions with excellent customer service skills.
Job Purpose
- To be responsible for the presentation, care and upkeep of the building and grounds.
- Performing minor repairs and reactive operational cleaning.
- The intake, secure storage and distribution of parcels and deliveries on behalf of residents
Aims & Objectives
- To ensure, without fail, that each parcel is signed for and collected by the recipient.
- To ensure the site is always maintained and kept safe and clean.
- Be the first point of contact when visitors, residents and leaseholders enter the building.
- To ensure that reception is kept running smoothly and efficiently.
- To fully comply with the Absence Procedure.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Minor maintenance and repairs as required to the internal and external fabric of the building. The unblocking of drains where necessary.
- Checking the security of windows and doors.
- Safe custody of keys for the premises including keyholder responsibilities on behalf of residents.
- Reporting any instances of damage to, unauthorised use of, or unauthorised entry to the site to the Management Company and Directors
- Ensure that internal and external bins and bin storage areas are accessible.
- Keeping the toilet, kitchen, reception and vestibule areas clear and litter free and that adequate supplies of consumables are kept topped up and available.
- Preparing the premises for any activities, the cleaning up thereafter and return to normal use.
- Ensure the lifts are available when any delivery or removal of heavy goods is taking place.
- Ensure all defects in cleaning and maintenance equipment are promptly reported to Heritage.
- The intake, secure storage and distribution of parcels and deliveries on behalf of residents.
- To ensure, without fail, that each parcel is signed for and collected by the recipient.
- Actively record all reactive jobs and activities.
- Any other duties appropriate to the grade which may be assigned from time to time.
- To follow all procedures and process detailed in the Site Operations Manual.
- To oversee the communal fire alarm, adhering to processes in place to prevent false fire alarms.

- Experience in managing people in general.
- Ability to work as an individual by working off their own initiative.
- Well-organised and capable of prioritising their own work.
- Always remain professional.
Desirable Experience/Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in building, security and maintenance work.
- Understanding of safe working practices and Health & Safety legislation.
- Practical, and with the ability to carry out minor repair work.
