The Role
We are seeking a methodical and detail-oriented Residential Block Manager to assist the Director in the property management department. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day management responsibilities across the portfolio, liaising with clients, residents, contractors, and on-site staff, and undertaking other associated administrative duties. Key responsibilities include:
- Seeking quotations and issuing instructions for maintenance work, and confirming that they have been satisfactorily completed.
- Raising and authorising invoices for payment.
- Submitting and dealing with insurance claims in accordance with the correct procedure.
- Undertaking projects from start to finish.
- Obtaining quotations for and implementing recommendations contained in health and safety reports.
- Arranging meetings, preparing required paperwork, and booking venues if required.
- Periodic site visits and filing.
The Person
The ideal candidate for this position will have a methodical approach to tasks and an attention to detail, good communication skills (both written and verbal), and a clear, concise, polite, and professional telephone manner. They will be confident in using various Microsoft packages, have an ability to continually prioritize their workload, be a team player, and have a positive 'can-do' attitude. Problem-solving skills are also essential. Previous experience in the industry and having a car are desirable but not essential.
The Package
This is a full-time position based in North West London. The salary for this role is £27,500 and will be commensurate with experience. The package also includes other benefits such as pension contributions and 25 days of annual leave.
