- Description
We are working with a client looking to expand their team. You have an opportunity to join their dynamic block management team with an overriding objective to promote a culture of openness, trust and ensure a high standard of service.
This role would be working within a close knit team of professional surveyors, block managers and administration staff to co-ordinate the company's Health & Safety compliance. They will provide the resources to further your career, ensuring you have a pathway to continue a successful career.
The role -
We offer our clients bespoke property management services for our largely residential block management portfolio. Your role will require an all round knowledge of the management process from budgeting and fund management to the administration of service contracts and reacting to day-to-day maintenance matters, but will focus on the provision and maintenance of Health & Safety policies for all managed properties where they relate to fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos management, electricity and gas installations, PAT testing and other H&S requirements.
This is not a desk bound role. Whilst you will be partially office based (we operate a hybrid working regime involving part home-working and part office-working), your role will involve travelling throughout London and sometimes further afield to inspect properties and to meet with clients, leaseholders and contractors as required.
Some of the tasks you will be responsible for -
- Oversight of health & safety compliance across the portfolio.
- Ascertaining the level of compliance across the portfolio and ensuring all existing statutory documentation is correct, up to date and held on the system.
- Reporting on compliance and highlighting risk to the property managers.
- Working with external providers to instruct, co-ordinate and review Fire Risk Assessments for the portfolio, and ensuring the correct implementation of the Assessor's recommendations have been carried out.
- Responsibility for the H&S software, procedures and training for all new staff members and refresher training where required.
- Tendering works and ensuring competent companies are within the approved contractor list.
- Provide support to staff and leaseholders relating to all H&S matters.
- Join resident meetings to discuss H&S risk management, where required.
Some of the qualities we will be looking for -
- A knowledge of Landlord & Tenant legislation, Health and Safety at Work etc. and previous H&S experience.
- NEBOSH qualification would be beneficial but is not a requirement of the position. We would assist the successful candidate in obtaining relevant qualifications.
- Ability to work across several projects under time pressure.
- Team player.
- The Candidate must have excellent organisational skills.
