- Description
Our client is seeking a Live-in Head Porter to come on board at a prestigious development based in Kensington.
Hours of will work be Monday to Friday and 07:00am - 14:00pm and alternate Saturdays 07:00am - 14:00pm. This is a live-in position that comes with an expensed 2-bedroom flat as part of the package.
Duties:
- Manning of the front desk and opening the main entrance for residents when they are arriving or departing.
- To greet and assist residents. Checking and screening visitors and guests, contractors and service personnel always displaying good customer relation skills.
- Provide a source of information to residents on access to local services such as cleaning.
- Be prepared to assist flat owners, who are away from their properties, to enter their flat on their request for sundry reasons, such as overseeing entry of cleaners Site security is of the utmost importance. You must therefore ensure that you are always alert paying particular attention to the security of the entrance doors and other points of entry to the building.
- Oversee the cleaning by an assistant of common areas internal and external. Always ensure good standards of cleanliness.
- Oversee the collection by an assistant of refuse each morning from outside flats and deposit in refuse bins at the front of the building. Ensure bin area is kept clean and tidy, and the bins are made accessible for emptying by the council's refuse collectors
- To deal with all enquiries, by callers to the property and by telephone. Liaison between residents, contractors and service providers as required.
- In extraordinary circumstances, respond during out of hours to residents unable to enter the building or flat.
- To maintain a logbook of all incidents and ensure that all other documents such as key books are maintained appropriately. Keep accurate records of any accidents and their prompt reporting to the block's Management Agent
- Maintain fire safety and other maintenance files up to date and report any issues.
- To ensure that the entrance, common parts, stairwells, and fire exits are clear of obstructions,
- To undertake inspections of all areas of the building daily and to ensure that they are kept clean and tidy, and that lighting is operational.
- Oversee vacuuming by the assistant cleaner of all common parts twice a week and collect any litter or debris from the common parts and the external light well as and when necessary.
- Dust and polish all internal common areas as required.
- To assist (and supervise when required) all contractors employed at the property, as necessary.
- Liaise with the Managing Agents regarding any damage caused to the property.
- To assist in checking that all fire precautions are in operation and that appliances are in working order. To deal with fire alerts in accordance with house procedures. Test the fire alarm weekly.
- To report any wants of repairs to the Managing Agents.
- To work closely with the Managing Agents on matters relating to the management of the building, provide reports where necessary and regular updates.
- Oversee contractors working on site and report issues / update the Managing Agents.
- Carry out minor maintenance work around the Estate, including liaison with the landscape gardener
- Ensure all Parking areas, Forecourts, parking spaces etc are kept clean, and regularly swept and that cars are not parked illegally.
- Competency in IT communication is important for prompt and efficient communication with residents, and the Management Agent.
- Perform your duties in a professional and competent manner in willing cooperation with others and at all times comply with all reasonable and lawful directions given to you by the company.
Previous experience working in luxury residential apartments is required. The successful candidate must be able to provide excellent references and be willing to undergo full vetting checks
