- Description
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join the team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on property fixtures and fittings and general grounds maintenance to ensure the building condition is well maintained and in exceptional condition at all times for its' residents.
Salary: £25,000 per annum
3 Month Fixed Term contract - start date : 1st July
Main duties:
- Review all reported resident maintenance cases and verify whether a defect or a maintenance case, arranging access with residents, and taking necessary action to resolve and close as appropriate
- Updating the status of maintenance cases
- Report maintenance case updates to the Resident Managers
- Carry out apartment pre-tenancy checks and sign off as 'Market Ready'
- Pre-move out apartment checks and record works required in advance of move-out
- Apartment inventories prior to new move-ins and at time of move-out
- In-apartment asset management and control
- Assist with maintaining inventory condition and standards
- Verifying refresh quotes from 3rd party contractor - ensuring quoted costs represent value
- Mid-term apartment inspections and apartment Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Routine patrols of the developments' communal areas to ensure maintenance standards are well maintained and reporting any issues identified
- Assist with all building compliance requirements related to H&S
- Assist with painiting, decorating, minor plumbing and general handyman/maintenance work
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal skills essential as this is a customer facing role; must be well presented
- IT literate with experience of using systems to monitor, track and update reported issues essential
- Must have the ability to carry out general reactive maintenance
- Trade background ideal but not essential, must be able to carry out general every day maintenance tasks that don't require a specialist and be able to identify where a specialist is required ( painting and decorating experience preferrable and must be happy to turn their hand to plumbing and general handyman/maintenance work )
