PMR are working exclusively with our client to recruit an Maintenance Technician to join the team at the flagship Co-Living development in Wembley
Based at our newly refurbished Wembley building, you will have responsibility for the management of all facilities compliance and reactive and proactive maintenance, across the residence and grounds. You will ensure that the presentation of the residence and grounds are maintained to a high standard at all times and within prescribed service levels.As a new role and a new building, for the first two years this is a hybrid role of "on the tools" Maintenance Technician together with co-ordinating snagging and external contract work during the defects cover period. This role will require the job holder to be available out of hours for emergency maintenance cover when required. You will keep a record of all events during the course of your shift and update the Assistant Manager of any issues.
Critical to the success of this role is a close working relationship with the AM and the wider team to ensure that there is a seamless level of high customer service for our tenants. It is essential that you have the ability to work on your own as well as part a team and can communicate effectively at all levels.
As this role requires (either fully or partially) lone working and can operate outside of normal office opening hours, effective communication for duty handover and the ability to evaluate and manage situations practically and level-headedly as and when they arise is an essential part of this role, escalating emergency issues to the AM where appropriate.
Education & Qualifications:
* Good level of Secondary school education or equivalent.
* Qualified to undertake like for like replacement of domestic electrical appliances and minor electrical repairs - 18th Edition electrical qualification essential.
* Proven experience of: general maintenance, basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating, mastic of shower cubicles, gardening.
* Able to read, fully understand and follow drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements and in line with manufacturer's data sheets.
* Basic computer skills
* IOSH Working Safely - desirableExperience:
* Proven experience of grounds maintenance and experience of general maintenance support.
* Previous experience in a customer facing role.
* Good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
