Description

Our client is seeking a Day Duty Manager to run the day to day operations at a luxury residential development based in South West London.

Hours of work:

4 days on 4 days off (7am-7pm)

Main duties:

  • Leading by example to set visual standards and quality customer service for the development. Motivate employees to strive for and achieve success for the development and company.
  • Coach, train and develop employees by fostering a can-do attitude to encourage continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the FOH teams are fully engaged to take accountability for all tasks given and to see them through to the end.
  • To take accountability and action the operational site inspections.
  • To be self-motivating and to strive for and achieve success for the development and company.
  • To foster a can-do attitude to encourage continuous improvement.
  • To generate new and exciting ideas to benefit the team.
  • Take personal responsibility for understanding and following the company's Health & Safety policies and practices, demonstrating personal engagement with safety and proactively identifying risks and hazards (to immediate manager) to continuously improve safety performance.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving will be required, given the circumstances of the roles.
  • To be a main point of contact, to resolve all residents and visitor's queries and complaints. Accountable for all Estate communication via on line systems and for these to be communicated and trained to all line reports and to be kept up to date.
  • Responsible for accurate handovers.
  • To assist in the required onsite duties and provide excellent concierge services as prescribed by the development.
  • To be responsible for the required Health and Safety and Security inspections and activities to assist in keeping the development and workplace a safe environment for all.
  • To maintain tight security procedures at all times.
  • To be responsible for accepting estate items and deliveries and arrange for safe storage.
  • To carry out any ad-hoc duties as requested by the management team.
  • To attend meetings and training as required which will often be outside of working hours.

Person specification:

  • Experience of working in a high-end customer service establishment and well presented.
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and legislation.
  • Knowledge of anti-discrimination & equal opportunity legislation.
  • Experience of supervising / managing a team.
  • Knowledge of key aspects of management practice including principles of effective supervision, appraisal and employment legislation.
  • Staff delegation.

  • Professional and patient manner with the ability to remain calm.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information and sensitive matters that may involve the general public and handling issues and queries with professionalism.
  • Practical application and working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and legislation to eliminate or mitigate risk in the workplace.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to undertake further training as required.
