About Us
We are part of a London based recruitment and training group that employs over 30 people and 700 contractors, with a turnover in excess of £15M.
We are looking for a CIPD qualified professional able to both offer HR services to our clients and to advise the Group MD on internal HR matters.
Verto HR provides an integrated HR service for its clients, so this is very much an outward facing, client driven HR service and the successful candidate will need to both understand this and be able to thrive in such an environment.
As a Group, we have been growing at an average rate of 25% a year for several years now and our product is an innovative and effective tool that our clients really value, you would be part of a highly successful team.
Duties
As the HR and Training Operations Manager, you will be required to advise your colleagues on day to day HR issues that affect their staff and to assist them in giving both timely and legally correct advice to our clients.
You will also take responsibility for the maintenance of a range of online training courses that we have developed, these are unique in our industry and we developed them in tandem with the property management industry's professional body.
Finally, you will have a role advising the Group MD and Director of Operations on issues affecting internal staff, their training and development.
Reports
You will be assisted in your role by an HR Assistant, who will be responsible for much of the day to day admin in the team.
The company has contracted the services of a consulting HR Director, who is there to assist you with both complex issues and to aid your development. She has many years' experience in HR operations and is a Fellow of the CIPD.
You will work alongside Verto's Client Account Managers, who deliver our onsite staffing services to our property management clients.
Person Specification
You will be a self-assured and confident person, who is meticulous in getting the details right. You must be well presented, as you will regularly meet and engage with clients with whom we work, especially so since our staff provide front of house services at luxury apartment developments.
You must have several years HR experience, ideally within a commercial SME environment. We would expect you to be at least at ACIPD level, wanting to develop your qualifications to MCIPD level with the full practical and financial support we would want to provide.
As a Group, we strongly focus on developing our people and this would not only apply to yourself, but to all of our staff, both internal and contracted. Your input into creating development plans and standardised courses would be important.
We operate an online HR management system, so some experience of using one, alongside general IT competence is essential.
Flexibility
You must be prepared to travel to site visits, mainly in the Greater London area, in addition there are occasional social events and client meetings that may take place outside of office hours.
You will be office based 2-3 days a week and the role will have the flexibility to allow you a degree of home based working, as your length of time in the role goes on.
