- Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Operative to work on an ongoing basis at a large residential development based in East London.
The position will commence on an ongoing temporary basis and paying London Living Wage - £11.05 per hour + Holiday pay
Hours of work: Monday - Friday (8am-5pm)
Duties:
* Undertake minor maintenance related reactive works including but not limited to fabric tasks such as painting, filling, replacement of floor tiles. Resetting access control door brakers, minor adjustments to maglocks and door closers.
* Assist building technicians with the replacement of light bulbs to common or external areas,
* Ensure all building life safety systems are in full workable order, reporting any faults to the Building Manager
* Fire safety management - ensuring all internal and external fire doors are correctly closed and sealed, reporting any faults to the Building Manager
* Fitting of intumescent strips to fire doors.
* Perform minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. sourcing and isolating building leaks, unclogging of drains).
* Clear shallow drains no deeper than 1 metre and rod as necessary to clear blockages and unblock road storm water and foul water drains to ensure water does not pool and drains do not overflow.
* such vision and values and incorporating aspirations of clients and stakeholders.
* Undertake any other duty as requested by the Line Manager or acting Line Manager as might be reasonably expected or required, including assistance with ad hoc projects.
* On occasion, to assist the wider team with landlord organised events within the wider estate and public realm.
