Job Description

My client are a student housing provider looking for an enthusiastic property manager for their high end student housing portfolio in Southampton and Portsmouth.

  • Some experience of property management is beneficial but not essential
  • Candidates with experience in areas requiring team management, or areas such as the hotel industry, hospitality, leisure, serviced apartments and property management among others will all be considered.
  • Travel to sites between Southampton and Portsmouth would be required.
  • Hours of work are typically Mon-Fri 9-5.30.

Duties are as follows:

  • Site visits
  • Tenant requests
  • Property visits
  • Acknowledging maintenance requests
  • Log all reported maintenance issues onto system
  • Liaise with clients re maintenance and costs
  • Organizing maintenance
  • Communicate all scheduled visits and actions to tenants
  • Overseeing a team of tradespersons
  • Managing subcontractors
  • Obtaining suppliers
  • Conducting tenant viewings
  • Organizing property cleans
  • Social media management, identifying complaints and resolving
  • Landlord acquisition, marketing tours, relationship management
  • Client relationship management
  • Legislation and compliance - ensuring all records are up to date and arranging safety checks when needed
  • Inventories, check ins, checkouts
  • Property inspections
  • Monitoring projects, drawing up schedules and plans, updating clients, snagging

Person specification

  • An interest in building and design
  • Hardworking and organized
  • Good standard of literacy
  • Good communicator
  • IT literacy
  • Possession of a full clean UK driving licence
