Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a Maintenance Operative to work at a luxury residential apartment development in East London. The role will involve working 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday.


Carrying out reactive and PPM repairs as part of the on-site maintenance team at a residential building consisting of 300 flats, a large tenant amenity space and car park. Under the direction of the Operations Manager to facilitate the efficient running of the building.

Main Duties:

1. Detect and carry out general maintenance tasks, repairs to fabric and finishes, throughout the building.
2. Carry out any painting and decorating work in the Centre and car park - internal and external.
3. Carry out general repair work, plumbing, brickwork and reporting any issues requiring attention or work to be carried out to the Maintenance Supervisor.
4. Detect problem, plant-fix, where appropriate or report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
5. Changing light bulbs, lamps and fittings, in the building or car park.
6. Report defects (equipment, building, lighting and fabric) to the Maintenance Supervisor.
7. Provide support and assistance to PPM and other contractors on site.
8. Maintain the on-site workshop and all tools and equipment in good working order.
9. Able to work weekends and Bank Holidays to provide maintenance cover.
10. To perform any other related activity, as directed by management, necessary to fulfil the purpose of the role as described above.

General maintenance/handy-person experience within a residential environment is essential and plumbing/electrical/general maintenance qualifications would be desirable.

The successful candidate must be able to provide excellent references and be willing to undergo full vetting checks.
