Job Description

Our client is seeking a Head Concierge/Building Manager to be a key contributor in providing a range services to support the day to day maintenance and security for a large, iconic residential property. The role is also responsible for the management of a Concierge team of c. 20 people.

Hours of work:
Mon, Wed & Fri 7am-4pm. Tue & Thur 1pm-9pm. Sat 7am-1pm

Main duties:
* Build effective and reliable relationships with residents and key stakeholders, including estate agents, developers and contractors.
* Drive a culture of best practice customer service with the Concierge team.
* Responsible for the induction, objective setting and training programme of the Concierge team. Manage the Concierge team rota schedule and time keeping.
* Collaborate with the Estate Manager on a variety of management and administration matters. Ensure requests from stakeholders are accurately completed to the agreed standards and deadlines. A collaborative and inclusive approach is essential.
* Communication of deliverables and requirements.
* Oversee the operation of all front of house operations relating to the development.
* Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations and tasks.
* Support the Maintenance Supervisor and Estate Manager in the development and management of maintenance plans for the property.
* Ensure the development is patrolled on a daily basis and to ensure the concierge staff are carrying out their duties in the correct manner.
* To account to The Estate Manager for all funds received, for example from the sale of door entry fobs.
* Responsible for tracking the concierge team budget, including the temporary staff budget and the overall training budget.
* Oversee all daily management of records and logs relating to the day to day running of the development.
* Ensure records and files are organised and stored in an appropriate and organised manner.
* Provide ad hoc reporting as required by the Estate Manager or Managing Agent.

The person:
* Proven management and building experience within the residential property sector.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with Residents and key stakeholders.
* Strong team player who can demonstrate an ability to take ownership of work streams, with an ability to work independently.
* Alignment to cultural values: Collaborative, Respectful, Progressive and Real.
* Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
* Sleeves rolled up approach. Happy in the detail whilst understanding the bigger picture.
* Strong knowledge of excel and use of other relevant software (powerpoint/word).
* Flexible and willing to learn and develop.
* +10 years' relevant experience in the residential property sector.
* Management experience required.
* Knowledge and experience in health and safety matters (ISOH certified is beneficial but not a prerequisite).
* AIRPM qualification is preferred.
