Job Description

Our client manages a large residential site in NW London of approx 500 units, comprising private and social housing units.

The site is shortly undergoing upgrades to a number of the building's technical services and we are looking to recruit a Facilities Manager with a background in building services, either HVAC or M&E.

The site has central heating and hot water services.


As Facilities Manager, you will report to the managing agent in respect of the general running of the development.

To assist you, there are on-site Concierge and Housekeeping teams, as well as a number of maintenance contractors.

Your duties will include,

Overall responsibility for Health & Safety at the site.
Liaison with the staffing contractor that provides the Concierge and Housekeeping teams
Liaison with the managing agents in respect of any occurences, dealings with contractors, problems with residents etc.
Management of all contractors working on the site, especially those maintaining building services
Ensuring that all the site staff are well-trained, well led and motivated to provide a first class service
Overseeing all the building services, from waste disposal to heating and hot water
Keeping efficient and well-maintained records
Ensuring the overall security of the site

Person Specification

You MUST have previous experience in delivering building (hard) services, with either an HVAC or M&E engineering background
Experience in staff management
Some security experience
A Health & Safety Qualification (NEBOSH or IOSH) is useful, but not essential
