Job Description

Our client are looking for a Front of House Porter for a luxury residential block in St John's Wood.

Working Hours: 9:00-18:00 Monday to Friday.
In addition the person may be required to work additional hours and some weekend working is required.

Duties:
-Check lights on fire escape and basement walkways.
-Security patrol of building at different times during the day and evening.
-Check on all rainwater pipes, soil pipes and overflows.
-Check boiler rooms, pumps and water temperature.
-Check chains on rear gates.
-Inspect blocks on regular basis.
-Check doors to flats.
-Check lights.
-Check electric passenger lifts.
-Ensure that all front entrances are clean and tidy at all times.
-Remove any rubbish from front entrances.
-Remove any rubbish from flat doors or landings.
-Hold any postal packages left by flats doors and hand to residents on return.
-Collect and sign for packages delivered to residents.
-Ensure that noise levels are kept to a minimumby tradesmen working in the building.
-Call taxi cabs for residents when necessary.
-Grant access to postman and milkman each morning.
-Assist residents with their shopping and other problems as they arise.
-Call the appointed contractors when breakdown in services.
-Keep in contact with local beat officer.
-Keep residents' keys when requested.
-Assist residents when moving in or out.
-Allow access for utilities to read meters.
-Check for vermin, insects and cockroaches, etc.
-Ensure that all front doors are securely closed when Porters' station unmanned.
-All events, instructions, complaints, visitors, etc to be entered in Log.
-Any other duties befitting the role of Deputy Porter or as directed by the Managing Agent and House Manager.

Experience working in luxury residential apartments is essential. The successful candidate must be able to provide excellent references and be willing to undergo full vetting checks.
