Job Description

We are looking for a new day porter at a high end residential building in Mayfair which has a 24 hour porter service. This would be on a full time basis, with the shift pattern being 4 days on, 4 days off, 12 hours shifts. The salary will be £24,500 per annum.

We are looking for a candidate who is highly attentive, friendly, smart and presentable, with a 'nothing is too much trouble' attitude. We would preferably like a candidate with experience working within an environment where clients expect a high quality level of service.

Purpose & Scope of Post:
To assist with the overall running of this prestige block of flats in Mayfair. To fulfil the duties below and, to provide any ad hoc duties as the residents may require.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To ensure security is maintained at the building. To take responsibility, in a crisis, (e.g., fire, flood, intruders), and take appropriate action.
- To supervise any keys which are held in reception by the staff. Ensure that they are correctly logged in and out.
- To monitor the presence of workmen around the building and supervise their activities to ensure minimum disturbance to residents. Daily records to be kept and report to Managing Agents/Board of Directors as required.
- To supervise and monitor the registered mail and deliveries logged maintained by the staff.
- To supervise the cleaners and on-site staff to ensure the building's high standard are maintained.

General Duties
You shall carry out such duties as may from time to time be specified by the Company in connection with the management and smooth operation of the Property, including but not limited to the following duties:
- To man and ensure the smooth running of the Property during your working hours
- To be responsible for supervising the Property and for maintaining good working relations with all occupants at the Property and others lawfully visiting the Property
- To permit authorised people only access to the Property
- Provide assistance to residents; to include carrying bags, holding doors open and delivering mail and parcels to the flats.
- To be polite and courteous to Leaseholders, Tenants, their guests and officers of the Company and visitors to the Property; to always stand to greet residents or guests to the building.
- To ensure, at the Property, that all common parts are clear of litter or any other rubbish or obstruction and to ensure that all such common parts are regularly swept and that the floors and furniture etc. are kept clean and tidy.
- To ensure that all refuse left outside of the flats is taken to the bin store immediately.
