Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a Day Porter/Concierge to join the team at a large residential apartment development in SE1. Shift pattern is Monday to Friday, working from 07:00-15:00.

Key Responsibilities:

- Where necessary, you will ensure that the notice board information is current and remove outdated notices. Private advertising is not permitted on the notice-boards unless special dispensation has been given.
- To man the main reception desk at all times.
- To monitor CCTV at the main desk and the buildings as necessary.
- Each patrol to be logged with a start and finish time in the daily occurrence book. All day patrols to be carried out with sufficient cover on the main desk.
- To carry the staff mobile with you at all times and ensure it is properly charged.
- To deliver parcel slips to all properties in a timely fashion.
- To distribute keys to contractors and logging details of all keys handed out.
- To carry out a key log check every day.
- To check all lifts are working and all lights are on without any exposed wiring or bulbs that are not working.
- To sweep the front entrance areas as required (especially after the cleaning staff have left) at any time.
- To report any complaints in the daily occurrence book. Any major issues should have a separate report made in writing to the Head Porter.
- To ensure that the reception areas are all clean and tidy on every visit.
- To pick up any litter that you see either internally or externally on the development.
- To report any repairs in the repairs log.
- To read the staff communication book on each and every shift noting comments from the Head Porter.
- To check all external doors are secure, locked and closed on each patrol.
- To check any other area of the building/rooms are locked and secure.
- To check the car parks are clean and tidy. Any cleaning issues to be reported to the cleaning operative at the earliest opportunity.

Previous experience working in luxury residential apartments is essential. Candidates must be able to provide excellent references and be willing to undergo full vetting checks.
