Job Description

Our client are currently seeking a new concierge/caretaker for a residential block of apartments in Surbiton.

Hours of work are 07.00am - 19.00pm or 19.00pm - 07.00am. A mix of days and nights. 4 days on 2 days off

The key day-to-day duties will involve manning of Concierge Desk and answering both the landline phone and concierge mobile phone (to be kept on at all times during the shift, even during the lunch hour), reporting all issues in a timely manner to the Property Manager and carrying out regular security patrols of the development whilst making note of any maintenance issues encountered.

Key responsibilities will include:

Ensuring the provision of excellent concierge services as required, including keeping the main reception clean and tidy. Staff will be expected to sign in and record parcels for residents, as well as providing key holding services as requested.
Records should be kept in an orderly fashion and filed accordingly.
Staff will be expected to have a smart appearance, consisting of suit trousers, a smart shirt, suit jacket and/or smart jumper, tie and appropriate footwear.
Conducting regular site inspections throughout all internal communal areas of the main block, the Housing Association block, car park and all estate areas - ensuring that any maintenance issues are dealt with and/or recorded and reported back to the Property Manager in a timely manner.
Carrying out litter picking duties as necessary, checking all riser cupboards and storage cupboards and removing and disposing of items as necessary in accordance with fire safety regulations.
Emailing maintenance reports to Property Manager daily to ensure records are kept of daily issues and duties carried out, and that all issues are communicated and dealt with in a timely manner.
Staff will be expected to deal with various issues on site, ranging from basic queries, difficult residents/visitors in relation to anti-social behaviour, security and other maintenance related issues.
Training and mentoring will be provided to help ensure staff are adequately prepared to deal with a variety of scenarios
