Are you a concierge/porter looking for a chance to progress?

Our client is currently recruiting for a porter to join their team at a luxury residential site in North West London, the position is likely to become senior after probation

Hours of work are Monday & Tuesday: 0700-1500, Wednesday: 0900-1730, Thursday & Friday: 1400-2200

Duties include:
- To be in attendance in the entrance hall with the assistance of the CCTV monitor keep the forecourt and grounds under surveillance.
- Porters should assist residents and their guests with shopping, luggage etc.
- To sweep and keep the forecourt tidy at all times.
- Whilst on duty the porter shall make any necessary entries in the incident, parcel, keys or other books.
- Porters shall ensure that during deliveries, removals and the use of lifts by builders, the lift cars and carpets are fully protected and that any damage or soiling to the common parts and lifts is immediately reported to the head porter or the managing agents.
- The porters shall deal with the changing of light bulbs both internally and externally as necessary. Ad hoc cleaning of entrances and lift cars is part of the porter's duty although this initially will be done in the morning by the cleaner.
- At all times the porters shall be vigilant with regard to any defects which become apparent within the building, for example, running overflows, blocked drains etc. and on discovery of such defects report them to the head porter or managing agent.
- Any unknown visitors, either on foot or in cars, entering the forecourt should be challenged and asked to explain his or her visit. If no satisfactory explanation is forthcoming, he or she should be asked to leave.
- If the porter sees anything suspicious, either personally or on the CCTV monitor, he shall immediately inform the head porter and/or the police as necessary.
- Porters shall be vigilant in removing all rubbish, refuse and litter throughout the property, both internally and externally.
- Porters shall make themselves familiar with the fire procedures and will assist the head porter in the periodic testing of the fire alarms. If any defect in the fire appliances is noted, these shall be reported immediately to the head porter.

Previous experience working within residential is essential, although hotel experience may be considered due to possibility of this quickly becoming a more senior position
