Job Description

Our client are currently seeking a part-time handyman for a luxury residential development in Central London.

Purpose and objectives of the role
The role of a handyman is vital to ensure the upkeep and high standard of the development and preventing it to go into disrepair as it ages.

The handyman should proactively ensure the development is maintained effectively as well as taking on larger works such as redecoration.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Day to day:
Check and repair internal and external doors, excluding door entry mechanisms
Change light bulbs on all non-emergency lighting
Touch up and walls/ floors that have been marked by wear and tear
Contact main office to report larger repairs that cannot be undertaken or require approval in advance
Ensure contractors have filled in log book correctly within the plant room
Any other repairs that are noted from inspections carried out by handyman, concierge or office staff.

Other Duties:

The carry out the periodic re-decoration work to the whole building which includes preparation and painting to a high standard to match the buildings high specification
To keep a diary and log daily maintenance activity including lunch breaks etc. and submit to property manager on weekly basis
Assist the concierge to meet and greet contractors and accompany them to the area designed on the job sheet and ensure that works are completed fully before signing the confirmation sheet on completion
Assist the concierge to ensure contractors follow Health & Safety guidelines whilst carrying out repairs, inspections and maintenance visits raising any concerns to the concierge and property manager immediately
A minimum of one month's notice is to be given in advance to taking annual leave. Holidays must not be booked in advance of receiving confirmation that cover will be provided and that the annual leave has been authorised.
Keep up to date with current internal company procedures
Awareness of self-developments, i.e. training.
To carry out any additional reasonable requests not listed above as requested by the head office
