Job Description

Our client is currently seeking an Deputy Building Manager to assist with the day to day management of a luxury residential apartment development in South East London. This is a Monday to Friday position working a 40 hour week, actual weekly hours may vary depending on business requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

- To undertake the Building Manager's duties when he/she is absent from the development
- Ensure all communal areas and other necessary aspects of the development are presentable to the highest standard, fully serviced and properly maintained
- To assist residents in all matters (within reason and guidelines laid down by the managing agents to ensure the ongoing enjoyment and benefit of their home ownership
- To oversee the site team, managing rotas and organising holiday cover.
- To ensure all irregular incidents are investigated and reported to the Building Manager.
- Assisting the Building Manager with team meetings, conducting job chats and assisting with appraisals
- Assisting with all disciplinary issues
- Effective liaison (in conjunction with the
Building Manager) with residents, addressing queries and concerns in an effective and timely manner.
- Daily inspection routines and reporting to ensure high standards of cleaning and maintenance are maintained throughout.
- To manage accurate on site records of all key activities on and around the development.
- Support with the monitoring and supervision of contractors carrying out works on and around the development.
- Raising of works orders in conjunction with the Building Manager.
- Ensure all health and safety requirements are in place and adhered to and that all necessary routine checks are being carried out.
- Ensuring all monthly and yearly maintenance works are completed and recorded.

Previous experience working in luxury residential apartments is essential. The successful candidate must be able to provide excellent references.
